We'll, we're playing a pretty tough team, but I'm very excited. I'm not in a hotel room. I'm actually in a house this time. I'm going to watch it with a group of friends, my dad. I think I have a Russian hat from Fed Cup. I might wear that.
I'm excited. It's going to be tough, but you never know. Turkey wasn't the favorite yesterday and they won.

The draw for Wimbledon has been released and Maria is the #3 seed and will face #104 Stephanie Foretz of France in the 1st round on Tuesday.  Maria has never played Foretz before.

The 1st seed Maria can meet is #26 Sybille Bammer of Austria in the 3rd round and Maria is slated to meet #16 seed Victoria Azarenka of the Belarus in the 4th round.  #5 seed Elena Dementieva of Russia is seeded to meet Maria in the quarters but could #25 seed Lindsay Davenport be a possible opponent?  Last year's champion Venus Williams and #2 seed Jelena Jankovic could be opponents in the semis.  #1 seed Ana Ivanovic, 2 time champion Serena Williams and Svetlana Kuznetsova round off the draw in the top half.

Maria Sharapova is no stranger to the world of consumer electronics. She endorsed plenty of Motorola products for some time, and was one of the first celebrities to own the now famous pink RAZR before anyone else did. Now the beautiful tennis star is switching teams, and working with Sony Ericsson as a global ambassador.

Her first big assignment was to design a collection of mobile phone accessories for women. This resulted in the Maria Sharapova Design Collection which includes four extremely cute bags: Courtside Case, Exercise Case, Party Bag, and Travel Wallet. All four designs were unveiled at an exclusive fashion show in London according to Crave, and expected to be released in the third quarter of 2008. No pricing has been announced yet, but I'm sure they'll be completely affordable.

Waiting outside the room was a Hollywood actress, Camilla Belle. Seated inside was the world's highest-earning female athlete, a woman who has become synonymous with racket-swinging glamour, and a close friend of Belle's - Maria Sharapova. But here was Sharapova suddenly claiming that the red-carpet lifestyle isn't really her, doesn't make her happy, and that contrary to every view you might have ever held about her, she is "a very low-key person".

High-level female tennis players have been ranked in the Forbes Celebrity 100, with Maria Sharapova the highest-placed female athlete. Sharapova, Serena Williams and Justine Henin are all in this year's Forbes Celebrity 100 list. The list ranks 100 of the most well-known and powerful celebrities in the world from the period of June 2007 to June 2008.

The three tennis stars have all been ranked No.1 on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour during their careers; while their rankings aren't quite so high on the Forbes list, they have still beaten, among others, supermodel Kate Moss and actor Charlie Sheen.
