Day 4: Go Maria!
|
November 10 / 2007 / 10:39 PM WOOOHOOO! Another awesome day in Madrid. We desided to take a long sleep, as we have been up pretty late the last 2 days. It was about 2 AM before we were sleeping, so I thought was time for a better sleep this night, and we did so thats great. The weather was great again so after breakfast we went to the 9th floor of our hotel to relax a bit in the sun (they have a garden on the roof here). The view from there is awesome! They have a little tower with windows all over the place. So you can check out Madrids skyline, impressive!
After that we went to the local super-store (trust me, they have Everything!) to buy some gifts, but I couldn't find anything nice for my parents, only bought some chocolate for a friend, and some post cards for myself to put in my photoalbum ;). Then it was time to travel to the Madrid arena again. Not totally comfortable in the metro, 'cause yesterday 2 metro's drove into each other a few stations away :S. Anyway, we made it to the Arena alive. We were a bit too late to see a training session from Maria, but I did saw Ana, Justine and some wheelchair tennis players practice. The wheelchair tennis was really cool to see! I guess you need so much power for it, as it looks so difficult. Respect!
At 1.30 we went to our places... well they weren't really places as we were sitting on the stairs. We bought our tickets thursday evening so the best places were already gone, and there were no places left where we could put our banner. So we decided to just sit on the stairs because there we could put our banner. (We saw some people do that yesterday, so we were like; who cares) No security came up to us to say that we had to leave so I guess it was all good. Again some great tennis coming from Maria's side, but I feel like it wasn't as good as yesterday (she didn't need that though). Anna was playing some poor tennis, she did a lot better in her match against Jelena, on thursday. Too bad that it wasn't a fight, but good for Maria as she can save a lot of energy for the big final tomorrow. I guess she will need it, because the match after Maria was from great quality. Ana forced Henin to play very good tennis in order to win the match, some points were just amazing! Many long rally's and some great winners from both players.
Tomorrow is the big final but unfortunately we can't be there as our plane leaves at 1.15 PM. We hope that you guys will be able to see the match on tv! Let's hope for great quality tennis, a real fight with a happy end for Maria!
xoxo Senia

No sé si éso le valdrá para ganar al Ratón de Lieja, pero como voy a dormir esa noche...
Sueño en que 2008 nos va a hacer disfrutar como nunca.
