First day in Madrid

Hey Guys!
Did you all see Maria play last night!!?? Well... we did, so exiting! It was great to finally see Maria back on court again, and do well ;) Very positive, but in the end, it came down to some thrilling last games.

Marco and I were so hyper that we couldn't sleep, not very ideal when you have to get up at 5.45 the next morning to catch you plane! Anyway, we got at the airport on time and had a good flight to Madrid.

To be honest, I think I've never been in a city as big as Madrid, such a contrast with what I am used to in Holland. I thought Amsterdam was kind of big, but it's nothing compared to Madrid. Big advertising posters everywhere, and so many beautiful buildings! Great architecture. Other then that we haven't done that much today, as we were really tired. We've been walking around downtown a bit to get a good first impression.

Tomorrow we'll start with the big work.... the WTA Championships. Madrid is all dressed up in Sony Ericsson ads and we even saw a bus driving around with big Maria promotion picture on it, really cool!
