Maria Sharapova produced another display of fearsome big hitting to roll into the US Open third round on Thursday.

Sharapova has dropped only two games on her way into round three.

The 20-year-old Russian glamour girl opened her shoulders to blast past overmatched Australian Casey Dellaqua 6-1, 6-0 in just 51 minutes.

That makes it just two games lost in two rounds for the defending champion, who next takes on 18-year-old Polish hope Agnieszka Radwanska on Saturday.
Maria has played the Polish teen once before at Istanbul on clay in May this year and won in 3 sets.

"I did a pretty good job of being solid, but it's only going to get tougher from here on," she said.

"I'm feeling really good and that's the best part of being an athlete - just coming out and being healthy."

Sharapova had no illusions that she had served as well as the automatic serve timer said she did. At one point in her match, on a second serve, it flashed 129 miles per hour. That would tie a Grand Slam record set by Venus Williams, well known for her powerful serves.

"It was definitely a mistake because one, I've never hit 129 in my life, let alone a second serve," Sharapova said. "Two, it definitely didn't feel like a 129. So it was definitely wishful thinking."
