US Open Draw Released

The draw for the last Grand Slam of the year at the US Open has been released and Maria is seeded second and will face #49 Roberta Vinci of Italy in the 1st round.  Maria has never played the Italian all-court player before.  This match will be played either on Monday or Tuesday.

Maria has played the US Open 4 times before and of course she is the defending champion capping a memorable run by defeating top seed Justine Henin in the final last year.
