Maria Sharapova, the world's No. 2 female tennis player, will lead the Newport Beach Breakers against seven-time Grand Slam singles champion John McEnroe and the New York Sportimes on July 25 at the Newport Beach Country Club.

The date stems from a scheduling change, as, originally, Sharapova was set to play at Breakers Stadium at the NBCC on July 16.
