Maria Sharapova battles to Zurich title

Maria Sharapova won her first Zurich Open title and fourth event of the year with a 6-1 4-6 6-3 win over Daniela Hantuchova in Sunday's final.
The Russian totally dominated a nervous Hantuchova in the first set, with the Slovakian twice dropping serve to love.

Hantuchova broke at the start of the second and, serving better, held in an epic 10th game to level at one-set all.

But an off-key Sharapova raised her game in the decider, breaking in game four and holding on for victory.

"In tennis, things can change quickly, and that was one great example," said Sharapova.

"You've got to get yourself together and win any way you can. In the third set of a final you know you've got to come up with your best stuff."
