From August 28 until the 10th of September it's time for the US Open, the last Grand Slam of the season.
Maria Sharapova, third seed for this tournament, will play the first round in New York against Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands. 17 Year Old Krajicek is the sister of former Wimbledon winner Richard Krajicek. Maria has never played Krajicek berofe.

In the second round Maria will either play Emilie Loit or Camille Pin. Both players are unseeded Frenchwomens.

It's not known yet on which day Maria will play her first match.
