When Maria Sharapova won the Wimbledon tennis championship this summer, the first thing she did was call her mother on her mobile phone, something that the media seemed to latch onto.
When she was competing in the Hansol Korea Open, she had with her a bright orange Motorola MS330 CDMA handset that Motorola had put together for her. She used it to once again call her mother after she won that tournament.
Because of her popularity in Korea, and the high-profile exposure the MS330 received when she won, Motorola Korea has decided to push the MS330's release date forward. The Sharapova phone, as it is being called, has a 1.3 megapixel camera and is coated with the same soft-touch rubberized skin that is seen on other Motorola phones such as the E398.

According to Telecoms Korea, Motorola Korea has claimed that the phone will be released in other markets later, which surely must mean the US and Canada, since they are two of the larger CDMA markets in the world.
Smart move of Motorola. The phone Maria used on Wimbledon was a Siemens MC60.
